Running....

I put on my drop dead sexy running outfit, shoes, iPhone, water bottle (you know you want a picture).. and just as I approach the door.....

there she stands... looking at me with those big eyes..
Gracie-the motivator!
So,off "we" go!
Now, you gotta understand.Straight from the gate is this..
ok... so maybe it's not "that" big of a hill. But, you try to run it. It's a killer hill. I promise, I need an oxygen tank hidden in the woods!  It's not pretty folks, it's not pretty.

My goal is to be able to run a half a marathon before I turn 50.  That clock is ticking like a dang time bomb and my wick is getting shorter every month.

I like running.... like a dog likes fleas, like a garden likes weeds, like a fat man likes the word "diet".

Which, leads to "why" I run.
F.P.F
Flippin' Physical Fittness.

The older I get, the more gravity pulls me down like a piece of melted cheese on the hot pavement.

See... this chocolate cake?
I gained 6.3 lbs just downloading it and putting it on my blog.  If I could smell it, it would add another 4 oz.

This is why I run.

I had to set goals...
So, these are my goals...

1.  Run! so I don't look like I'm wearing spandex filled with three day old cottage cheese.
2.  Run! so that I don't grunt and groan every time I get up off the couch. (it's not a pleasant sound)
3.  Run! so I can chase my grand kids around the house.
4.  I want to be able to say, "I ran a half-marathon" before i turned 50. (I think that's called "bragging-rights")  Who knows, maybe I'll run a full marathon some day. (yeah, I'm pretty sure that's a "NOT")

So, here I am...
49, my slightly fluffy physic, smile, and all the determination of a Chihuahua chasing a semi truck!  In hopes that he'll catch it someday.  Not that he'll know what to do with it when he does.

Okay.... one last picture...
My husband..... who's a running maniac!

NOT... lol
Okay... here he is...

He's a cutie pie.
He runs to relieve stress.
Pretty sure it gives me stress.. but that's another blog another day.
